🧴 Our Five-Day SUPW Journey: The Making of “HIMA”

As part of our SUPW (Socially Useful Productive Work) program, our college organized a five-day practical training session focused on the production and sale of Dishwash, Detergent, and Floor Cleaner. The mission was not just about learning to make these products, but also about understanding teamwork, creativity, and the satisfaction of productive work. It turned out to be one of the most enriching experiences of our B.Ed journey.

The first day began with a spark of excitement. We gathered all the necessary materials required for the preparation of dishwash, detergent, and floor cleaner. With guidance from our teachers, we carefully read the instructions provided in the dishwash preparation kit. Every step  from measuring ingredients to mixing them in perfect proportions taught us precision and patience. Watching the liquid take shape was both exciting and satisfying, marking a great start to our SUPW week.

On the second day, our focus shifted to the making of detergent. For many of us, it was our first time working on such a process. The combination of ingredients, the mixing, and the transformation into a usable product fascinated us. It was truly a new learning experience, blending chemistry with creativity. The sense of achievement we felt after completing the batch was beyond words.

The third day was dedicated to preparing the floor cleaner. The aroma of freshness filled the room as we carefully created the solution. By now, we were more confident and coordinated as a team. We decided to give our brand a name “HIMA”, a symbol of freshness, purity, and cleanliness. Naming our products gave us a sense of ownership and pride.

With the production completed, the fourth day was all about packaging and labeling our products. We designed simple yet attractive labels bearing the name HIMA. As we packed each bottle and sealed it neatly, the products looked professional and ready for sale. The entire process made us realize the effort and creativity that go into even the smallest product we use every day.

The fifth and final day was the most exciting one the sale day! The event was inaugurated by our beloved Principal, who appreciated our collective effort and creativity. With enthusiasm and teamwork, we presented and sold our products to teachers and students. The response was overwhelming, and we even managed to make a decent profit! But more than the money, it was the appreciation and joy that truly made our hearts full. The five-day SUPW program taught us lessons beyond the classroom. It was a blend of learning, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and social responsibility. From the first day of preparation to the final sale, every moment was filled with excitement and pride. “HIMA” was not just a product it was a result of our hard work, creativity, and unity. This experience reminded us that true education is not only about books, but also about creating, doing, and contributing. It was indeed a wonderful and unforgettable journey.
